organization is dedicated to classifying various types of visual content, including films, videos, and advertisements, by age group to protect young people and to provide our citizens with accurate information so they can make informed choices when viewing and selecting content.

As the media environment rapidly evolves, there has been a tremendous increase in both the quantity and diversity of content, making it easier and more convenient to access. Visual content has now become an integral part of our daily lives.

In particular, the expansion of new platforms, especially OTT (Over-the-Top) services, has increased accessibility to inappropriate or harmful content. As a result, the importance of the age ratings and content information provided by our board has never been greater.

To address these changes in the media landscape and to provide optimal rating services, we are actively engaged in various activities, including research, education, and information technology related to rating classifications. We are also collecting diverse opinions on rating classifications through programs such as youth media literacy programs, rating classification experiences, and various citizen participation events.

Starting in 2023, with the introduction of the OTT self-rating system, we are working in collaboration with self-rating businesses to promote healthier and more responsible use of visual content in the online environment.

Going forward, we pledge to listen to the diverse voices of the public and to strive for fair and transparent rating classifications. We appreciate your continued interest and participation.
